Like most young girls I was (and still am) obsessed with Fashion. Magazines litter my room, I don’t know how many fashion links I have bookmarked on my computer but it never seems to be enough.
When I graduated from high school I wanted to become a fashion writer. I found myself at Seattle University pursuing a journalism degree for that sole reason. I took every opportunity to study abroad saturating myself in the culture and fashion in such cities as Rome, Milan, Barcelona, Madrid, Venice, Paris, Cork, Dublin, Mexico City, and Puebla – the list does go on.
When I graduated from College I decided I wanted more, so I packed my bags and headed across the ocean to England where I enrolled at the London College of Fashion which changed its name while I was there to University of the Arts, London. I was exposed to the everyday looks and the extremes of fashion. I attended fashion shows even though exiting my flat everyday seemed as if I was walking onto the runway of street fashion. My classes were informative but nothing beat the fact that London itself was giving me its own fashion lesson. I worked on photo shoots, on television shows, music videos, and for fashion designers. I felt as if I had been dropped right into the thick of it. I loved it and nothing can compare to gaining on hand experience. You learn how to work with people and find out how to bring out the best of them with such things as a shirt or a pair of earrings. It may sound silly but clothes have the power to make you feel more confident, a little sexier and even a little more like yourself, the self that you never even knew you were.
After two years of being a part of that scene I decided home is where the heart is!
I came home to Seattle but with a new eye and a new goal. I wanted to infuse my fashion sense into my everyday life here.

Hi "Alixrose,"
What fun huh? I mean your life story! I can relate and share, but I have many questions to pick your brian! I just got back from Europe and now living in Seattle (Seattle is new.. and exciting!) I was raised in Oklahoma and decided I needed a change! I am looking into schools and see that you picked Seattle U and Univ.. of London (Fashion). Would you recommend Univ.. of London? I am also looking into Seattle Pacific....So, since you are a local and lucky me, I ran across your blog (which by the way, I love it) I just want to see what your views are. It probably would be a good idea to tell you what I was to pursue huh, ;-) Fashion management, business and/or merchandising/marketing.
Thanks for your time!!!
