Dabble as in where does she find the time to do this, she has kids, an acting career, her Goop Newsletter and probably more things on her plate than I even know. She makes me feel like I have no bragging rights when it comes to my multi-tasking.

It does leave me with the question, how much creative control will she have? Honestly, she doesn't need to do this, her career isn't in the gutter needing something to spark life back into it. Also, when I read some of her interviews, I never thought "That lady is going to to do a fashion line down the road." She has been the poster girl for such lines as : Tod's and Estee Lauder - but like most celebs now... its just not enough.
Sadly I don't really expect much. I do admire some of her personal style choices and she does have hit and misses just like the rest of us.. imagine that, but honestly I never thought she would jump on the bandwagon of celebrity lines.
Nymag.com has the description of her line:"She's collaborating with French label ZOEtee's on a fall 2009 capsule collection called ZOEtee's Loves Gwyneth. The collection consists of jersey basics, according to British Elle, as well as some glam, 1970s inspired looks and pieces influenced by masculine tailoring."
The line will show next week in London. I am not holding my breath, but a part of me is hoping that Paltrow exceeds my expectations and outshines celebrities that have gone before her.

Ug this is so unnecessary. Why does another celeb thing they can design clothes? I really doubt she'll do much for the line though, other than put her name on it...

She's been in the press a lot recently for her new improved style.
But I don't think she's got enough of a reputation for her style to be doing a fashion collaboration really.
Maybe she'll surprise me...
Sadly, I don't hold out much hope for her new fashion line either. I'd rather see someone with an identifiable style (like Diane Keaton) come out with a collection.

ZOETee's is sort of a bridge-level or contemporary brand. Correct me if I'm wrong-- but does it sound like she's doing something of an haute-concept designer collaboration with a high street style store? I don't hate her completely. In fact, over the years, her self-righteousness and smug countenance has grown on me. And GOOP is okay, too.
I agree with you completely that celeb clothing lines are more and more ubiquitous these days (what was Lohan's leggings range about?) but there are occasionally the goodies, lets hope this is one!
:| Celebs who don't have a stylist, but dress well and intend to sit and draw designs are qualified to launch lines. Is she gonna do that?
I love Gwen and her cute little family. I also enjoy her classic style but am cautious about her new line. Let's wait and see is the consensus...and I agree. Good stuff Alix...keep 'em coming!
i think gwenth paltrow sucks and she she doesnt deserve chris martin as husband he could do so much better without her
