Its no wonder UK Vogue did an editorial inspired by the movie "Where The Wild Things Are". Its all about imagination...... and fashion in its simplest form is an idea born of one's imagination, expressed through clothing. I love how instead of focusing on greens and browns, that this editorial is all about patterns and color richness.

When I was doing some online browsing I came across these selected pieces from Nasty Gal. The color and prints could totally be a street style version of this fashion editorial.

Who else is excited about this movie? I remember loving this book when I was young and to see it in film form, which could easily be a disaster looks like it will be a masterpiece. I seem to be most in love with the music right now.

I get goosebumps whenever I see the trailer for this film. It excites me in a way that I haven't felt since I was little.

I feel the exact same thing. There's not a lot of things that bring out the kid in me these days so I embrace stuff like this. Am glad am not the only one.

I'm excited to see it! Definitely.
And I'm lovin' the exotic patterns above!

I'm so chuffed to see this movie! I get all giggly when I see the trailer. I'm just hoping they don't cock it up (crosses fingers).

I think I prefer the street version over the mag spread. Something about those animals freaks me out and the clothes look a little...stranger...than they should. But the street spread is rad!

Love the cardboard animal photo shoot. It's fabulous. I'm also loving all of those dresses...especially the tube top dress!

Those Nasty Gal pieces can totally be a street style version of the editorial! Such lovely prints.

And I loved that book when I was little! I had to Google it because I couldn't remember the title, but the cover made me remember! I could always spot that cover.

LOVE that book. The hubs gave it to me before our little dude was born last year. Sigh.

Wow! What an amazing editorial. I'm going to have to buy the magazine now, so i can see it in person.

I'm really really excited for the movie. It was one of my absolute favourite books as a kid-- the imagination of the story and the beauty of the drawings drew me right in. I can't wait to see what the movie is like!
