The Writing Challenge: 30 Minutes A Day for 30 Days!

Every fashion blogger, well every blogger has one thing in common.. writing. Even though I rely a lot on visuals to inspire my blog posts, writing is the vital way in which I express myself. Unfortunately, at times my writing suffers. I could blame social networks and the character limits that they make me live by, but at the end of the day I should make the effort to nurture my writing. Thanks to Fresh Jess, I am making that challenge a reality.

She informed me through a blog post of National Writing Month.
Write something, every day.
They say it takes 30 days to make something a habit. Making it a habit is the key to writing consistently. It doesn’t matter if it’s fiction, non-fiction, a blog post or hand written journal entries. If you want to write more, just start writing. Start with a goal that’s achievable. Start writing for 30 minutes everyday. If your goal is to blog then write everyday and try to post 2-3 times a week. If you’re already writing everyday then take it up a notch, and post something everyday or write for longer periods of time. Just set a goal and keep it for 30 days. Don’t give up, don’t make excuses, just write. - New Comm Biz via FreshJess

I do write everyday in many different ways.. emails at work, notes and ideas for blog posts and through my blog as well. This challenge is different. I am challenging myself to Journal, to write about something besides work or fashion posts. I have been wanting to break away for the computer and this could be a reason to do that.

Also my handwriting is so bad, maybe after 30 days it can be something I am not ashamed of.
I don't know if I will be sharing any of my journal topics, but then again I don't know what I will be writing about, so you never know.

If you want to reconnect to pen and paper, reconnect with ideas that isn't just work based - this could be for you

Happy writing!
