My second post on the ladies who rule the magazine world and look great doing it stars Joanna Hillman. She's lady after my leopard print, red lipstick loving heart. The Senior Fashion Marketing Editor at Harper's Bazaar has always been a a one to watch during Fashion week. She didn't disappoint this season, that's for sure.
Leopard print? Check. Red lipstick? Check. The large fur vest and the big statement necklace are other fun elements that I would have tried to pull off too.
Who do you think of as a New York fashion icon, past or present?
My style icon is NYC! This city thrives on individualism and authenticity and people literally wear it on their sleeves! It could be a posh older lady on the upper East side or a hipster in Brooklyn, this city just pulsates with fashion inspiration. - Stylcaster
This lady's main job is to travel around the country scoping out the new hottest trends and must have items. Pretty much sounds like a dream job. I have no doubt in my mind that its high pressured, but when you love what you do, its worth it.
What I love most, is that she's created a look for herself. The ray bans, the red lipstick and the leopard print are essentially her. Everyone can't pull off these looks, let alone all of them at once.. its Joanna and she works it. As a fan of red lipstick and leopard print, I am a fan of her style. I love to see how she mixes it in with staples, with the newest trends or just in her everyday.
If you're anything like me, you would love to get a glimpse into her closet. Well Harpers Bazaar does the next best thing. Joanna did a wardrobe diary, where she shares her looks for 30 days. You can find the diary here.
I would love to know what red lipstick she can't live without.
