I planned to take a few days off for the holidays. And I ended up taking a few weeks. Well, I guess a blogger needs a time out every once in awhile. But, I'm back at it and after 1023 blog posts I have feel like it's time for a little shake up. My time out gave me a little time to think about what I want for ALIXROSE in 2014. I don't have all the kinks worked out and it maybe a little bit of experimenting to see what feels right, but it's going to be a fun. I just know that I don't want to do anything on here half-assed. I have a lot of half-baked ideas that have just been sitting in my notebooks and this is the year for me to finally make them happen.
My motto is to "Do something Awesome" everyday. In all aspects of my life, especially on this blog.
So, first step. Is a new beginning.
I decided to rent a desk for the month of January. Thanks to CoCoKelley for opening her door to me and giving a little space to come work. I've only been here a few days and I am loving it. It's not too different from a coffee shop, but it's a beautiful space that let's me sit my booty down and not worry about taking up too much time at a coffee shop. I wish I could stay here a little longer, but my February plans won't make that possible. But I thought this was a definite shake up. I could easily stay at home, working in my pajamas, but I want to kick off this year with a jumping start. I know for me personally, I would get more done out of the house.
Now, you maybe asking yourself - what happened to your day job. Ador and I have parted ways, amicably. They're going in another direction and I wish them all the best. Instead of this becoming a road block, I am taking this as a time to re-evaluate what I want in all aspects of my life. The past few years have kind of been a roller coaster that I haven't had a chance to step back and see what I want to do. This gives me an opportunity to do that.
I haven't made any real resolutions this year. But I'm going to live and work everyday to the fullest. What does that mean exactly - I will Do Something Awesome - everyday.
Thanks Fresh Jess for my "Do Something Awesome" notepad.
