A New Pride and Prejudice Audiobook for Our Rocking Hours
There’s something magical about that stretch of time when the house is dark, your baby is finally asleep in your arms, and the only sound is their soft breathing. It’s quiet, it’s sacred and I don't want to take away from the magic, but sometimes it can go a little bit too long. Have you found yourself nodding off and your phone can’t save you? The light of the screen lights up the room (not ideal).
What I need in those moments is something to keep me awake, to soothe me, and to let me daydream just a little.
So when Audible dropped news of a new Pride and Prejudice audiobook, I was excited—like really, really excited. I’ve never done the full audiobook version of Austen’s masterpiece—though I have seen all the adaptations (yes, even the zombie one, which I kind of enjoy). This one, though? It checks every box for those late-night rocking sessions. It’s stacked with star power. Instead of a single narrator, this version brings the characters to life through full performances, lush sound design, and an original score. It’s a movie for your ears.
You may not recognize Mr.Darcy, but trust, his voice is perfect for this. But you don’t have to take my word for it - find out for yourself.
